I was doing some laundry yesterday, and while I was throwing the clothes into the washer, I realized that I had been smelling like fried chicken for the last four days.

• Chloë Sevigny is in a new HBO series about polygamists. Also starring in the series is Melora Walters, and the opening sequence music is “God Only Knows” by The Beach Boys. I think someone at HBO is totally obsessed with Boogie Nights.
• Dov Charney really is a Vincent Gallo clone.
• IHeartHarper.ca wants your “cool” Stephen Harper stories. Harper yaoi, anyone? [via bennybox]
• Architecture in Helsinki is really ugly, and I mean carny ugly (19.5MB QuickTime).

That annoying new Pepsi commercial (8.2MB QuickTime) starring the eternal fucktard Jimmy Fallon and Parker Posey (who, by the way, looks like a slightly less mutant Julia Roberts) is a rip of a Spike Jonze short from a few years ago. The spot was created by Traktor, the Swedish collective that produced some real gems of advertising such as Diesel’s “5 A.M. Mono Village” (3.2MB QuickTime) and IKEA’s “The Swedish Midsummer” (18.9MB QuickTime), which makes this travesty as disheartening as it is retarded. More outrage at The Modern Age.

This guy was in some math class (can’t remember which one), this guy was in my CS 246 lecture section, and this guy was in that horrible combinatorics class. And, I am pretty sure I saw him on Columbia St. a few days ago; I don’t think he was in any of my classes though.
